Ring-a-ding

Your Engagement ring was the beginning of it all so why not have it featured in some photographs. Some photographers offer a pre-wedding photo shoot and this is a great time to feature that ring.

Not quite the norm but super cool if your first baby is a boy right? Or if you just happen to be into pop-culture.

This is a bit cute too, one of you writes a cute post-it note!
If your photographer doesn't offer a pre-wedding photo shoot ask them about it, it's a great way to get to know your photographer before your big day. You'll get to practice some poses, and they'll get to know you both better as well.

Sizzle Sizzle

Summer is a great time of year but nobody likes to "have to" stand out in the 40 degree heat in the peak of the afternoon - even if it is for a wedding.
Why not provide your guests with some parasols? Instead of hiring umbrellas or leaving them out in the harsh rays offer up these stunning white paper parasols which you can buy or hire.

They make for fantastic photo opportunities too. Don't forget to be flexible on hot days, move your ceremony under as much shade if you want to stay out doors and make sure there is an esky or cooler with plenty of water. Tend to the elderly as well, offer them the opportunity to stay in doors and just attend the reception if they are worried about the heat. Same goes with new parents, small babies and children don't take well to the heat. As the bride it's up to you to offer the opportunity to stay cool and be excused from the ceremony - after all, they wouldn't want to offend you.

Change it up

Perhaps you hadn't really thought about it, but this bride and groom decided the first time they saw each other on their wedding day should be a private moment, along with their wedding photographer of course!

Another example of breaking traditions and look at the results. Gorgeous, intimate, honest photos.

In Bloom Floral Art

In Bloom Floral Art
I'm always reluctant to talk flowers, buy flowers or do anything with florists. After many bad experiences paying 'through the nose' for what turned out to be 90% foliage, I just gave up on flowers. So when I endorse a florist, I really do mean business. Hannah of In Bloom Floral Art is well worth this blog and some. The bouquets are lush, delicate and jam packed full of blooms!

Meet Hannah, the creative mind behind one of my favourite Adelaide florists.

Hannah has a real way with blooms.

These David Austin roses look stunning in pastels and Hannah has gone with an absolute lush feast of them for this bride!

Hints of dusty pink roses peer out from beneath this spring posy. So pretty!

Floristry is art with flowers and it's clear that Hannah has an eye for composition and detail and loves to keep it delicious and lush.

The colours in these bridal flowers is to die for! Look at all the yumminess in that box. In Bloom Floral Art is definitely worth a look for your wedding flowers.

Hannah's a real artist and it shows in her work.

Classic white peonie and roses in this delicate bridal bouquet, stunning work!  5 out of 5 blooms.
